WOW. What a GREAT show! As usual, my favorite song was Idioteque. Thom always gets way into it and it’s always done differently live. I don’t think I’ve ever danced harder at a show. Here’s the setlist:

(words by Michelle Craglow, 2012—revised from version I 2010)
Today I saw a man
metal clawing for a stuffed dog
at a local supermarket probably
for a lady he wants
to take away with him, a lady
he wants to claw
so she can’t let go.
And I
can’t help but wonder
if any man will ever claw
for me the way the machine wraps
its skinny fingers around
faux fur pulling & dropping
freeing some sort of life
into a new world
as if inanimate objects falling
is the man falling
into a world where men
win over women with jewels,
cute little animals, a kiss.
Some men have won me over with just
a smile, (partial kiss), but never
has any man struggled
in a supermarket-PDA, through a machine
clawing for fifty cents of romance,
enough to spoil me
like a young girl
in love.
I have
a recurring stomach ache, a heart
that claws its way out of its chest.
It jumps for a man who’ll
never risk fifty stupid cents (illogical),
the chance of embarrassment, to prove that
I love you is a stuffed dog, a kiss
in the morning before I’ve brushed
my teeth.
